Claudia Offray, LCSW, LCADC

"I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination."

Jimmy Dean

I graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2005 with a BA in History and Public Policy Studies specifically focused on under-served and at-risk areas and populations. Upon graduating from college, I began working as a Youth Counselor in a group home for girls ages 12-17, prompting me to pursue a career in Social Work. I continued my education at Monmouth University where I earned a master’s degree in Social Work in 2009 with concentrations in Clinical Therapy as well as Addiction Studies. In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, I am also a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Substance Awareness Coordinator (SAC), and earned the certification to serve as a Disaster Response Crisis Counselor (DRCC).

Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to gain experiences in a variety of settings including a maximum-security prison, inpatient psychiatric units, providing community-based case management and therapy services, serving as a crisis clinician in hospital emergency departments as well as providing both in-home therapy and more traditional counseling services within a group therapy practice. I believe the combination of unique experiences with varying populations enables me to reach and identify with a wide range of individuals throughout various walks of life.

It has been my great pleasure to witness the determination, strength, and resiliency of the human spirit during my years as a clinician; where there are periods of darkness, there is also light at the end of every tunnel. As humans we all seek love, acceptance, and understanding; my goal is to provide a safe space where clients feel supported, relaxed, and nurtured as they begin their therapeutic journey.
